Great choice for weekend. Interesting place for 1 night with really friendly stuff in a condescending manner. Particularly good location to York centre. Close to Nice Friendly pub, all the traditional Olde World English establishment and a desert. Plenty of goodies for breakfast...

fantastic access to york's city walls and local restaurants
I stayed here last summer and appreciated how easy it was to stroll over to the York City Walls right across the road. Dining options like the Garden of India just a few steps away made our evenings good.

Charming, Charming, Charming
I loved the underfloor heating in our cozy room. Waking up to warm floors is a game-changer! Plus, the direct access to a beautiful beer garden by the river was the perfect spot for evening chats and a drink. Don't even get me started on the fantastic home-cooked meals-getting a chance to taste local flavors.
100% recommend ❤️🥰

We had a lovely time enjoying the homemade steak pie and the cozy atmosphere. The outdoor seating by the river was a perfect spot to relax after our meal, and we also loved the spacious garden area. The only small hiccup was that the room got a bit too warm at night, but overall, it didn't stop us from having a wonderful stay! 😊

A charming stay with well-maintained decor and a peaceful atmosphere, especially with the gated hotel adding a sense of security at night. The room was small yet cozy, with comfortable beds and easy access to a lovely beer garden, perfect for enjoying the area. Dining was a highlight, particularly the excellent homemade ice cream, made the meal nice.

The warm atmosphere with oak beams and cozy fireplace. Our double room was tidy and had all the essentials, including a good selection of tea and coffee. Plus, the location was perfect-just a short stroll to the attractions in York. It would be great if they offered a breakfast option to enhance the experience.

Had an awesome weekend here with friends! The location was perfect for our visit to the local attractions, and the outdoor space was great for hanging out. Our room was spacious with a comfy bed and plenty of tea and coffee. Took a break from the city to enjoy the nearby cafes and discovered a fantastic pub with hearty food. Totally worth it!
Only downside was the lack of breakfast options. After our stay, we realized it would have been nice to have a convenient breakfast without having to venture out first thing.
